SSTM becomes an Approved Research Center for doctoral research

SCMS School of Technology and Management (SSTM) has been approved by MG University as a center for doctoral research in management studies. This is for the first time a self-financing educational institution in Kerala is getting the status of an approved research center.

Paper published

  • An article titled ‘Strategic lessons and theoretical explanations - the Vodafone Mannesmann case’ by Shri Ajay Kumar Pillai A.K., Lecturer and Dr.N.Rajagopal, Associated Professor has been accepted for publication in Amity Global Business Review, February 2008.
  • An article by Smt.Susan Abraham, Assistant Professor, titled ‘HR challenges in retailing in India’ was published in Personnel Today, April – June 2007 edition
  • An article by Dr.N.Rajagopal, Associate Professor titled ‘Employee engagement – application of IES tool’was published in the XLRI Journal of Management and Labour Studies, August 2007 issue.
  • An article by Shri A.K.Pillai,—-titled ‘Behavioral considerations of cost allocation in Indian Industry’ was accepted for publication in Impact, Journal of IIM Indore, January-June 2008 issue.

Winners at Mahasangram 2007

A team of students from SSTM participated in the talent contest – Mahasangamam 2007 – organized by Mangalam College of Engineering, Ettumanoor on November 27 and 28 and came first in the HR game. The winning team consisted of the following members:
Parvathy N.Raj, Shruthi N.V., Sreelakshmi N. and Smitha Ann John.

There were 16 teams participating in the event.

Best Manager
V.Anoop bagged the coveted position of the Best Manager at the talent contest – Xlencia – conducted by Bharath Matha Institute of Management, Cochin on November 9 and 10.

25 colleges from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala participated in the fest.
